My orders (for buyers)
What a customer sees under My orders, how they change an order you have not accepted yet and how they repeat one, so you can explain it.
A customer who arrives on their own link can see all their orders, change the ones you have not accepted yet and repeat one with a single button. This is what they will see, so you can explain it.
Where it is
- The customer opens their customer link in their browser.
- In the catalogue header they press the person icon (Account and theme) and choose My orders. Just above it is My details.
- They see their orders, newest first, 12 at a time, with Previous and Next to turn the page. Each shows the number, the status, the date, the total and the buttons Order this again and View order.
- If they have not placed any yet, they see You have not placed an order here yet.
The statuses they see are Received (a new order you have not accepted yet), Accepted, Being prepared, On its way, Complete and Declined. With no customer link in the browser, the page does not exist.
Changing an order before you accept it
While the order is Received, the button Change order appears beside View order. The customer can change quantities, remove products or add others with Add products until you accept the order. When they finish they see Order updated, and Undo takes them back.
Once the order is accepted it can no longer be changed from their screen. They see This order has been accepted. To change it, write to the shop with the buttons Write on WhatsApp and Send an email. What you do with each order is in Manage orders.
Ordering again
The button Order this again builds a new order in the customer cart from the old one, and the customer decides whether to send it. It is also on each order page, but only when the browser holds the link of that same customer. In the catalogue, a customer with earlier orders also has the button Repeat last order.
- Today prices: current prices are used, with their discount, and they are worked out again at confirm.
- A product that is no longer in the catalogue, not on sale or not available to that customer is left out, with a note.
- If there is less stock than before, it is added at a smaller quantity, whatever is available.
- If it is out of stock, it is added as a backorder, with a note.
- If the cart already had items, it asks Replace your cart? with Replace my cart or Keep my cart.
What was left out stays on the cart as a note headed Left out of order and the number, with a Dismiss button. If nothing from the order is still in the catalogue, the customer stays where they are and sees the note.
The order PDF
On each order page the customer has Download PDF and Share or save the PDF: one page with the figures of the order, to keep or to send to whoever does their paperwork. See proformas and delivery notes.
Good to know
- A visitor with no customer link does not get this page: the list comes from the customer their link identifies.
- If the link is regenerated, the old browser stops seeing them.
- The language of these screens is the customer own; see Languages.
