Customers: import and export
What you can do in bulk with your customer list today: take it out to a file.
You can download your customers as a CSV file that Excel opens correctly. Loading customers from a file is not possible yet: the import screen only loads products, and customers are added one at a time from the Customers screen.
Export your customers
- Open the Export screen (/admin/export).
- If you want each customer WhatsApp number included, tick Include contact numbers and press Apply so the download carries them.
- Press Customers (CSV). The file customers.csv downloads.

What the file holds
- One row per customer with these columns, which stay in English in either language: name, company, discount_percent, tax_rate, surcharge, locale, tax_id, tax_id_type, fiscal_country, fiscal_address, shipping_address, delivery_notes, notes, origin, last_order_at, created_at, surcharge_declared_at and details_saved_at.
- discount_percent is the whole-number discount; tax_rate is the name of the customer tax rate, or empty if they use each product rate; surcharge is true or false. Dates are written in UTC and addresses as they were typed.
- With the contact box ticked, the email and whatsapp columns are added.
- The customer link column comes only when you ask for it: tick Include personal links on the export screen (CSV) or on the customers list's Excel export. Only the shop owner sees that option.
What it leaves out
- Customer links are left out unless you ask for them: a link is an access key, so treat a file that holds them with care.
- Changes a customer has proposed and you have not yet decided on are not exported.
Good to know
- The Customers list can be searched by name, business or number, and filtered by origin: Added from an order or Saved by the customer.
- To take everything else out, see Export and close your account.
- To set each customer discount, see Prices and discounts.
